BMS App Dependency Lock

Unit aggressively throttles output when sustained load exceeds 500W in ambient temperatures above 85°F. Effective capacity drops by approximately 40% in real-world summer conditions.
THD Spikes to 12% Under Surge
Total Harmonic Distortion measured at 12% during surge loads, far exceeding the claimed <3% spec. Anything over 5% THD risks long-term damage to sensitive electronics including laptop power bricks and HVAC control boards.
Ethanol Fuel Sensitivity

Accelerated Flow Decay in Tannin-Rich Water
40% flow rate reduction observed after filtering just 50 gallons of high-tannin water. Filter element is not field-replaceable, requiring full unit replacement.
Filter Element Glue Failure & Testing Concerns
Reports of adhesive failure in Black Berkey filter elements allowing unfiltered water to bypass the filtration media. Independent lab testing has also raised questions about the manufacturer's filtration claims.
AVR Voltage Instability Under Rapid Load Changes
